*JHIA Encouragement Award
This award is to encourage young quilters. The recipient will be chosen from the winners under the age of 35(born after January1, 1982). There will be a case when no one is eligible of this award.
Preliminary judging will be by digital images only.The completed entry form with two digital images(5×7in. /127×178mm) of each entry ,one full view and one detail must be arrived at Japan Handicrafts Instructors’ Association’s office between July 3rd to July 28st, 2017. Full view should be taken directly facing the work with full frontal view, showing all edges of the finished quilt and detail must show quilting stitches/ties. Detailed information is written in the back of entry form.
The final judging will be held after the works have been selected from the preliminary judging. Details for shipping will be informed with the acceptance letter. The deadline for sending the works will be at the end of October 2017.
Entries will require an entry fee of 8,000 yen per work to cover for packing and return shipping fee, etc., payable by VISA/Master Card.
